When staying at a pricey hotel or resort you may have the option of personal assistant concierge services depending on where you stay and how much you pay. The more affluent guests are offered these services because they can afford them. Basically this type of service means you will have one or more individuals at your beck and call who can run your errands, bring you things you request, book entertainment and other arrangements and assist you in various other ways. When you are staying at a resort or hotel away from home this can be quite helpful.

Of course even if you are not staying at a hotel or resort you can still hire a concierge. However the appropriate term in this case would be personal assistant. Your personal assistant can be part time or full time. Some personal assistants, especially those of celebrities, stay on the same premises as their employer. You can find a personal assistant using a placement agency. There are special agencies who place nannies, assistants and other professionals in jobs based on their skills and experience.

You should know there are some things that a personal assistant should never be asked to do. This includes obtaining illegal substances or participating in illegal activity, of course. It also includes childcare, cooking and housecleaning. Most assistants will not do these tasks and if they did it would take time away from their other job duties. The same agencies who can find you a personal assistant may also be able to find you a childcare professional, cook and housekeeper if that is what you require. Of course some professionals find with the help of an assistant they are able to do more household tasks on their own if they choose to do so.

One thing you should know is that personal assistant concierge services isn't just for the rich and famous. Sure, lots of rich and famous people have assistants, but you can hire one part time that can suit your budget. In addition if you stay in certain hotels or resorts you get concierge services as part of the package price. Your best bet if you are seeking an assistant for a part time basis or low price is to do plenty of research to find the best choice.
