Celebrity Personal Assistant Jobs

If so, then you may want to search for celebrity personal assistant jobs. The first thing you'll need to do is live in an area where celebrities are, such as Los Angeles or New York. Then, you'll want to write a resume. If you have no experience as a personal assistant, list the jobs you have done and write a cover letter that explains the skills you possess that you feel qualify you for the position of personal assistant.


You might want to look for work as an independent contractor or work with a placement agency. Many celebrities do go through placement agencies because these agencies make sure candidates are qualified, professional and thoroughly checked as far as criminal and background records. So if you are an aspiring assistant signing with one of these agencies is probably the best way to go. You will need to schedule an appointment where you will meet a placement agent and find out about which jobs are available and what you are qualified to do.

One thing you should know before even considering this line of work is how to behave when you meet your first potential employer. Because they will be famous, you may be tempted to gush all over them and tell them what a big fan you are. It is advised that you do not do this. Shake their hand, look them in the eye, introduce yourself and say it is a pleasure to meet them. Treat them as you would treat any job interviewer. Then, have a seat where directed and let them make the first move. They may ask you to tell them about yourself, or they may have a series of questions they want to ask you.

In the world of celebrity personal assistant jobs, a lot of the work can be glamorous but not all of it is. You may get to travel to exotic locations and meet other celebrities. Or, you may be stuck at home scheduling appointments and answering phones. You may work for a celebrity who treats you very well, or you may work for one who barely acknowledges your presence. As you can see, the world of a celebrity assistant can vary widely depending on who you work for and what your duties are. Your salary will also vary depending on your employer and experience.
